This 'N That

Not every day can be a full-out adventure. It's important that I have some quieter days, too. After yesterday, I've been a bit stiff and sore and VERY tired! So here are a few things that haven't made it into the blog yet.

The Glass Station

Everyone has been telling me that I must visit the Glass Station in Rocky Harbour. Last year, I tried after it had closed for the season, so I made sure to go early this time. It did not disappoint. It is a store featuring the work of Urve Manuel, the owner. You can check out her website here.

Baleen

There is lots of baleen at the Marine Station. In case you don't know what it looks like, here are some pics. Some whales use a baleen filter feeding system. This enables them to eat plankton efficiently.

A Couple of Lumens

I have been making some lumens (photos without cameras, made by exposing photographic papers with objects on top of them) and doing some macro photography while I am here at the Marine Station. Here are a couple of neat lumens:
