View from the Water

One of the things that continues to amaze me is the kindness and generosity of the people I have met here. Bruce, who works for Parks Canada, is a perfect example. Last evening, he took me out on his boat so that I could see the landscape around Bonne Bay from the water. All I can say is, "Wow"! 

I love spending time on the water and it is an opportunity that doesn't come along very often. It takes me  back to the summer days we used to spend on my grandparents' boat. Those are among my favourite memories. So it was really special for me to have this opportunity. Bruce explained the different kinds of water motion--the swell and the tidal something (I can't remember). At times, the water was choppy, and other times, it was smooth. I delighted in it all.
