Answering Some Questions
A lot of people have asked me about the residency I was awarded in Gros Morne. I have created this blog to share my experience with anyone who is interested. I will be updating it when I have opportunities to do so, so keep checking in. I will be sharing my thoughts, some writing, and lots of beautiful photos of my experiences in this spectacular place!
I have decided to start this blog by answering some of the questions people have asked me over the past few weeks:
What and where is Gros Morne National Park?
Gros Morne National Park is a UNESCO Heritage Site and spectacular landscape located on the west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Newfoundland and Labrador's website says that "covering 1,805 square kilometres, the park is a never-ending series of wonders and delights, and a demonstration of the spectacularly raw and enigmatic beauty of the physical world."

What is an artist residency?
An artist residency provides artists with the opportunity to focus on their work in a place away from home where they can explore, collaborate, and focus on making art! They give artists the time and resources they need to develop a body of work.
The Gros Morne Residency
This residency is offered by Parks Canada and The Rooms in St. John's. If you are interested in reading more about the Gros Morne residency, click here.
